Each golfer will be required to raise money for participation on the team. This money is necessary to run a quality program and will go towards course usage, range balls, team uniforms, travel expenses, entry fees, end of season awards, and for the State Tournament. In addition, the Meridian School District has a participation fee that each player is required to pay to the district.
The coaches will provide information about these fees and we request that each family make arrangements as soon as possible. Please understand that each child receives a tremendous benefit in rounds of golf and range balls over the course of the season. This makes the participation fee very reasonable for the benefit. If your family has a hardship and may not be able to manage the fees, please let the coaches know and we will work with you in any way we can.
For 2014 each golfer is required to contribute $250 to participate on the golf team. The Meridian School District also imposes a participation fee of $110. This fee is paid directly to the District. We realize that $360 is a significant amount of money and may be a financial burden for some families. Please let us know if this is going to be a hardship and we will work with you to help in any way we can.
Parents have several options for making their contribution to the team:
- Write a check ($250 payable to MVHS Golf Team)
- Become a Sponsor or bring Sponsors in (see the Sponsor page for more information)
- Purchase Albertsons Boise Open Tickets (See info box to the right)
- Participate in school fundraising activities
- Any combination of the above!

Buy tickets for the Albertsons Boise Open and 100% of the purchase price goes directly to MVHS golf team.
Be sure to select “Mt. View HS Golf” as your Designated Charity and all of your purchase price will count towards your participation contribution for golf!
